Pear Fritters and vanilla ice cream

  1. I got the idea for these from Paula Deen.I followed her recipe with a couple of changes. I did not have self rising flour so I used regular flour with baking soda as the leavening. I also added ground graham cracker crumbs to the pears after they were dipped in batter. I fried these in crisco and they were very good!
