Mashed Potatoes, Cabbage, Corn, Chicken, Tomatoes & French Bread
The mashed potatoes were red potatoes cooked, then mashed with butter, 1/2 & 1/2, salt and pepper. I used chicken stock to boil the cabbage and onion. Simmer without the lid to reduce liquid and then add butter salt and pepper to finish. Sliced tomatoes, buttery corn, & warm french bread were served with a roasted chicken.

Julie's Dinner
I had a wonderful dinner at friends house tonight. Julie was our cook! The potstickers were pork and vegetable that were browned in canola and sesame oil, then steamed. Delicious! I am not sure what the pork dumplings were called. The yellow radish has a nice slightly sweet taste and a crispy texture. I liked these with this meal. We had Edamame as an appetizer.
Cinnamon Rolls
This recipe worked much better. I found this one on allrecipes.com, also. This one is called Cinnamon Rolls III. I did not have vanilla pudding so I substituted butterscotch.

90 Minute Cinnamon Rolls
I made these yesterday and they were quite a chore. They taste pretty good but I was a little disappointed that they did not rise more. I used butter, cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg and pecans to spread on the dough before rolling and cutting for my baking sheet.
Early in this process of making the cinnamon rolls, I dropped a big bag of flour! I do not recommend this step in the process. Omg.... Recipe was from allrecipes.com.

Pizza
The Pizza toppings were tomato sauce, oregano, Italian sausage, onion, orange and yellow pepper, maple bacon, Mezzetta Capers, Mezzetta Roasted Red Peppers, black olives, Beer Cheddar & Parmesan Cheese. The crust recipe was 1 cup of warm water, 2 1/2t. quick rise yeast, 3 cups of all purpose flour, salt, 2 T. olive oil. I used 1/4 cup of warm water to start yeast. Combine flour & salt, then add the rest of the ingredients and mix until it comes together to form a ball. Remove from mixing bowl, knead for about 5 min. Oil the dough, cover with a clean towel, let raise for 45 min. Punch down dough, then divide into 2 pizza crusts.
Sushi at Wayo
The Sushi was great! Not sure what the dab of veggies in the blue bowl was called but it tasted so good. I think it was sliced cucumber in rice wine vinegar and horseradish. That is what I tasted. Yum...

Happy Chinese New Year!
Pictured above is Cashew Chicken, Garlic Chicken & Sesame Chicken. We decided to celebrate Chinese New Year at Hong Kong Inn on North Glenstone. It was good and although they were busy, it was very quick. It is a good choice for Chinese fast food.

Salmon Patties, Mashed Potatoes and Corn
This is comfort food to me. My Mom use to make this combination for dinner. I used canned salmon and then added, bread crumbs, egg, and spices, then seared salmon in a cast iron skillet.
The tartar sauce was Chipolte Mayo, Dill relish and a squeeze of lemon.

Too Much Chocolate Cake with Buttercream Icing
I made this cake for Randy's Birthday. It is from allrecipes.com. The icing was 2 sticks of butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and powdered sugar, whipped till it resembles icing. The cake was supposed to be baked in a bundt pan, however, I used a 9 by 13 glass pan and decreased the oven by 25 degrees.

Hashbrowns
The iron skillet is perfect for hashbrowns. I washed and peeled a russet potato, shredded then rinsed and drained water off. I first cooked bacon in the iron skillet for some of the grease. Once potatoes have drained well and skillet is hot, add shredded potatoes. Do not turn until they have browned on one side.

Buffalo Wings (Baked) / Celery with Blue Cheese Dip
Super easy to do. I like to purchase "Smart Chicken" brand at the grocery store. Air Chilled and no water added is the claim. The meat is a nice white color and they are not large chickens. Anyway, these wings were good! I liked them baked as well, as fried. The dry rub was sugar, paprika, kickin chicken, rosemary garlic spice and garlic powder. The wing sauce was Moore's. I baked them for 45 minutes. Let cool and then coat in wing sauce.
The Blue Cheese Dip was mayo, Greek yogurt, blue cheese, garlic powder, pepper.
