Matzah



For all who have dietary restrictions on leavening at this time of year, I attempted Matzoh Bread. I found the recipe at tammysrecipes.com. I would make this again and use it as a base for many good things. I was a little stingy with the salt and you should not be with this recipe. This is a very simple, quick recipe.

Peanut butter Cookies / 3 Ingredient


Peanut butter Cookies

1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg

Combine ingredients - bake cookies in convection oven at 325 for 11 min.

Double Cheese Burger, Chocolate Shake, Chili topped with Cheese

Fresh Garlic Prep Tip

Using an entire bulb, cut through the flat end slightly, then hit it with the side of a large knife, put the garlic in a plastic sandwich size container and shake vigorously for a few seconds. Remove lid and garlic cloves will be peeled and separated. The garlic is now ready to be minced! Saves lots of time. Thank you, Sweet Stephan.. This is such a simple idea and a huge time saver, if you like fresh garlic in your food.

Macaroon Cookies drizzled in Chocolate




1 cup of egg beaters
1 cup of brown sugar
Cooked on low in a sauce pan until brown sugar and egg are a nice smooth consistency. Remove from heat and add 1 t. of vanilla
Next add dry ingredients
1/2 cup sifted bread flour ( king arthur unbleached) sifted
3 cups of sweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup of corn flake crumbs
Place bowl in refrigerator for 40 min. to an hour.
Spray baking sheet with Pam
Bake in a convection oven 325 for 13-15 min.
Melt Chocolate and add a small amount of shortening. Using tines of fork, drizzle chocolate over cookies

Brisket with Onion, Black Beans, Mashed Potatoes & Tomatoes


The potatoes were cooked with 8 cloves of garlic. When they were ready to mash, I drained them, then added olive oil, butter, tarragon, Parmesan cheese, milk, salt & pepper. The black beans had onion, garlic, 1 can of mexican tomatoes, fresh parsley, cilantro, beef broth, salt and pepper. The Brisket was mesquite smoked, onions were sauteed with olive oil in a cast iron skillet. Served with sliced Roma tomatoes.

I put flowers on the deck and around the pool area.

Pasta with Pesto and Mushrooms, Spinach Salad & French Bread


The pasta was angel hair, cooked al dente, topped with basil pesto & mushrooms cooked in butter.  The salad had a apple cider vinegar dressing, spinach, onion, carrot, peppers, salt, pepper and cheese, both mozzarella and Parmesan. Served with Soft butter on warm French Bread, Yum!
