Using an entire bulb, cut through the flat end slightly, then hit it with the side of a large knife, put the garlic in a plastic sandwich size container and shake vigorously for a few seconds. Remove lid and garlic cloves will be peeled and separated. The garlic is now ready to be minced! Saves lots of time. Thank you, Sweet Stephan..
